THE CHALLENGE
Reduce mortality at the beginning of posture in batch of layers of a Colombian Company. At the end of the east, these birds had a low uniformity and at the start of productivity, there was a high incidence of prolapsed birds. At week 22 an infectious process occurred, and then, at week 24, there was a high number of prostrate birds.

RESULTS
Improving the mineralization allowed us to take the birds to 90 weeks of production, generating a saving of $4/egg by depreciating the bird.
We improved the uniformity of the birds at the end of the lift, we increased the consumption of feed at the beginning of production and the sanitary problem was solved, working in a network, with the technical team of the Colombian company.

HOW WE DID IT
Understanding the root causes of each of the problems mentioned was critical so that, accompanied by our scientific data analysis team, we could make timely and effective decisions.
To make assertive diagnostic plans, we review the causes by doing an accompaniment in the field, with our scientific data analysis team and, with the support of our Chemical Analysis Laboratory, we evaluate: quality, granulometry and solubility of the calcium to be supplied, evaluation of the mixing coefficients, measurements of bone mineralization and levels of calcium and phosphorus in the blood, at different times of the day.
Once we obtained the differential diagnoses, we elaborated the action plans with an interdisciplinary team made up of nutritionists and CEAS of quality and health, which were implemented in the field with our permanent accompaniment.
